Obviously he must have projected something off putting in interviews. An education is easy to get but it takes more than that to succeed in the real world (as we all know).
This is what ideological possession looks like. A kid raised around Scripture, discipline, and achievement gets pulled into the left-wing rage machine until he allegedly decides murder is moral clarity. That does not happen in a vacuum. The Trump-is-Hitler drumbeat, Meidas-style poison, staged-shooting conspiracies, Bluesky radicalism, and “arm yourselves” rhetoric all create a permission structure. Intelligence did not save him. Education did not save him. A Christian upbringing did not save him once resentment became his new religion. The media wants mystery. There is no mystery. The home school academy was good enough to get him into Cal Tech where he graduated so the academy is not a brushoff school. If he held the same black victim beliefs as his sister then he shows the difficulty of ever solving the race problem. The commander of the satellite that just went around the moon was black and sharp a guy as sharp can be but who knows his name? Blacks are turning me into a racist from a very pro black start. People who live by the Golden Rule and want the best for everyone were suddenly being blamed for past ills because of the color of our skin. I am sick of it. I think it’s human nature for people to want to take the easy road. And if someone tells them long enough that nothing is their fault - that they’re down because of others’ actions - that gives permission to not have to do all the things in life it takes to succeed. It’s maddening because there’s no common sense to it.
At some point, people need to step up and take responsibility for actions and take advantage of all the things this country has to offer. With 75% of black children born out of wedlock, that’s a difficult hole to climb out of to begin with. Start there. Where are the so-called leaders of the black community calling that out?
