With all due respect, there is absolutely nothing new whatsoever or “now” about attacks on white women. In fact, though they were entirely villainized and I make ZERO excuse, a certain group was formed to serve as neighborhood protection because, especially at the end of the Civil War when blacks had to provide for themselves (as per the responsibility which comes with freedom), there were mass attacks on white women. In fact, so many women were villainized and the perpetrators counted as innocent victims that laws were passed which separated one race from another. I’m not justifying; I’m simply saying that if you actually read history from all perspectives instead of the victim-oppressor dichotomy, then you get a better understanding. Of course, it is easier just to go along with the narrative that white people are always deserving of mistreatment and blame. Having been one of those white women, I certainly have less compassion for the victim class.
That is certainly one way to voice it. And, to be fair, to separate those who behave in such an anti-social way from those who simply share melanin is something that must be done. It is entirely the conflation of poor behaviors and skin color which does not allow anyone to address the real issues: some people have been fed lies, encouraged to respond in violent and emotionally unregulated ways, protected from the consequences of their own actions, and all blame put on those who do not share their same ability to reflect and absorb photons. If we can break past our shackles of acceptance, speak the truth, and understand that discipline is love, then and only then can we stop those who seek to divide us.
