Conservative commentator and author Glenn Beck has published an excerpt from my book, The Zizians: Inside a Trans Death Cult, on his site.
In his new book, The Zizians: Inside a Trans Death Cult, journalist Andy Ngo investigates the strange and violent world of a Bay Area trans cult linked to a string of killings and suicides. In this exclusive excerpt from the book’s introduction, Ngo introduces readers to the key figures, victims and settings behind the unbelievable story of the Zizians. Buy the book here.
I set my fears aside and opened the door to the rental unit the Zizians once called home.
It was a beautiful spring afternoon in Chatham County, North Carolina. Birds chirped in the oak trees, and flowers were in bloom. But all I felt was dread. A neighbor who had agreed to meet me suddenly stopped answering my calls and texts the day I flew in.
After landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, I tried calling one last time. An automated message now said that the number had been disconnected. It was not the first time someone who had known or interacted with the Zizians had abruptly withdrawn from speaking with me. The fear was palpable.
As I stepped into the dusty, dark house where the group had lived, the names of the dead ran through my mind, one by one:
Krzysztof Pasek.
Jacob Pekarek.
Amir Borhanian.
Richard and Rita Zajko.
Curtis Lind.
David Maland.
Felix Bauckholt.

The house looked unassuming. It wasn’t.
One side window remained boarded up after being violently smashed. At the back of the unit sat several tanks of compressed argon—an odorless gas typically used for welding but capable of causing asphyxiation. Beneath the cabin were piles of rotting cardboard boxes from large shipments of equipment used in the group’s experiments. Peering through the front window, I saw that the interior had been hastily ransacked.
I took a breath and stepped inside unit A.

I’ve got your book to read on my Kindle. I know it will be disturbing to read but I am so grateful for you doing this dangerous research Andy! The general populace needs to know.
Andy, the importance and significance of your work will surely grow with the passing of time.
